Pompon, the Japanese quince
Pompon is a Japanese quince (also known as flowering quince or chaenomeles) which lies next to the door of my house. As far as I can recall, he's always been there.
In Winter it is as ugly as Brossadent : only depressing and nude branches. But when Spring begins, it's full of lovely pink little flowers and small green leaves.
This year the flowers are already there ! It's probably due to the not-very-cold Winter we had this year.
Here they are, those little pink flowers. Not as numerous as in Spring, but wait for a few weeks and you'll see :)
In French, Japanese quinces are called "pommiers du Japon"... Hence Pompon's name. Ahem...
