Witaj (or not)

Today a friend of my mother's is coming at home, he'll stay for a week or so. I would lie if I said I'm delighted to see him but it seems to make her pleased, so I guess I'd better smile and say nothing.

At least he's a cellist. Oh, and he comes from Poland. A Polish cellist. Yeah. So they're gonna talk to each other in German (Mum cannot speak Polish, even though she tried to learn a few words). And I'll have to talk to him in English (I cannot speak Polish either, and I didn't even try to learn a few words).

What a mess...
